Right you are, IH82BOGEY. And the past is only prologue. The Champions Tour makes room for only a very few. Fewer still for those without Major Championship records. All others must compete for the coveted FIVE Fully-Exempt spots. And also the less-than-sainted 25 others who are allowed to Monday qualify. John Riegger is one of those "fewer still." But . . . by virtue of his birdie on the third hole of the Q-School sudden-death playoff, John earned fully-exempt status for 2013. Too bad his season started late: he turned fifty in June. No matter. He's swinging good—he's longer and straighter than he was on TOUR for 20 years—and he's putting well. (I know the "longer and straighter" is hard to believe, but it's true.) Trust me . . .
